Ok, so I was getting a bit stir crazy knitting only garter stitch hexagons. I mean there’s the color changes to help keep it interesting but there’s no rules in knitting. I like to be monogamous in my projects most of the time but I will just switch back and forth between the afghan and my new project. Should be fine, right?

Do you recall when I showed you this yarn I dyed back in mid September?

I planned to design a sweater and even did a swatch.

Well I totally can’t remember what the heck I had in mind now and just wasn’t feeling like pattern drafting so I took a look at my queue on Ravelry and found Curio. I am knitting it in L at a slightly tighter gauge of 6 stitches per inch. Should come out somewhere near a 40″ I hope.

I have just finished the increases on the first sleeve and am loving the fabric. I also found that it is preferable to knit this yarn on my bamboo needles. The yarn felt too slippery on my usually preferred metal needles.
I’ll probably knit some more on the afghan after I finish this sleeve. We’ll see…
