Classic Merino Superwash Sock Yarn

Description

Classic Merino Superwash Sock Yarn is a light fingering weight 100% superwash merino wool yarn that is an excellent sock yarn. It has a 2-ply construction with a very tight twist, which creates a more durable fabric with nice stitch definition. This yarn is an excellent choice for baby garments since it is machine washable and because fine gauge yarns are so perfect for baby knits while having the advantage of being fairly quick small projects. It washes up very soft for next to the skin garments. This yarn is also great for lace knitting, such as shawls, and sweaters.

One skein should be enough for an average adult pair of socks, finger less mitts or gloves. You should knit these type garments at a tighter gauge for increased durability.

All of our hand dyed yarn will stand up to gentle washing without fading or running. We have selected the dyes we use for their excellent light fast and color fast rating.
